Things to Do at KLCC

What’s there to see at KLCC?

Here’s a brief list of the best things to do!

klcc

Petronas Twin Towers

No visit to KL is complete without visiting the Petronas Towers. Even if you’re not much of an architecture geek, it’s hard not to be dazzled by these temple-esque skyscrapers that perfectly capture Malaysia’s graceful blend of modern and traditional culture.

You can take a guided tour up to the bridge that links the two towers. It costs about RM80. You can’t go all the way to the top.

But it’s free to hang out around the base of the towers and gawk at them. Definitely check them out at night, if you have the chance. They are absolutely gorgeous when they’re lit up in the evening, like sparkling diamonds.

Lake Symphony Water Show

There’s a small lake at the base of the towers where you can watch a beautiful fountain show in the evening. The water jets are synced with traditional Malaysian music. It’s a lovely hangout spot for everyone: families, friends, lovers, or solo travelers.

The fountain show plays at 8PM, 9PM, and 10PM. There’s plenty of room to sit and watch the show even on the busiest days, so don’t feel pressured to get there early.

KLCC Park

Kuala Lumpur is a lovely city, but sometimes you need to slip away from the noise, crowds, and traffic. KLCC Park is a great place to do that.

The park is beautifully landscaped with curving walkways and small lakes. It’s also an excellent place to bring your family, with nice playgrounds and shallow pools where the kids can splash around for a couple hours.

Suria KLCC Mall

Suria KLCC is one of the largest shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur. You can enjoy a nice view of the Petronas Towers from right beneath them, thanks to a lengthy sunroof. (We do love our sunroofs, here at Bestow.)

Most of the shopping malls in KL cater to either luxury or casual shoppers. But Suria has a full range of stores, encompassing both casual and luxury outlets.

Aquaria KLCC

Aquaria KLCC is a colorful and interactive aquarium that’s fun for the whole family. The highlight is a glass tunnel that takes you straight through one of the tanks. Sharks, rays, and fish swim around you and over you—the closest you can get to these marine animals without getting wet!

KLCC is fun to visit in both the day and night.

Go in the daytime if you want to avoid crowds or if you want to visit Aquaria (which closes at 5PM).
